Enzyme Systems Products has been in business since 1977, with our primary focus on developing proprietary and "cutting edge" chemistry and to make this chemistry commercially available. Our research tools are directed to assist the investigative community in exploring the role proteases play in various disease states. Our early design and patent of the 7-amino-4-trifluoromethyl coumarin derivatives as a sensitive fluorescent leaving group is useful in a wide array of indications from single cell assays to automated applications (HTS). We have substrates for each enzyme, purified enzymes and the corresponding inhibitors.

The FMK product line is an excellent cysteine protease inhibitor that has given Enzyme Systems Products a solid reputation in unraveling the puzzle of apoptosis through identification of the various caspases. The inhibitor is cell permeable, non-toxic and can be used for in-vitro or in-vivo studies. We are currently developing new cysteine and serine protease inhibitors along with a complete line of MMP peptide compounds as this area again is brought to light through new research efforts.
