Enhanced Plasmid Production: Achieving A 21-Fold Increase In Plasmids Per Liter
Source: INFORS HT
By Marcel Blanke, Jennifer Redmond, Maike Otto, Daniel Bruecher, Sam Ellis, and Thomas K. Vill

In this study, a plasmid production process was performed comparing conventional Erlenmeyer flasks with LB medium and the Thomson’s Ultra Yield® system. E. coli cells were cultivated in both systems in an orbital incubator shaker (Multitron, INFORS HT), bacterial growth was monitored, and the plasmids were purified at the end of cultivation. Explore the resulting cultivation similarities up until 8 hours and the contrast seen after 4 hours, as well as the total plasmid yields after plasmid purification.
