Electro-Fast® ReddyRun™ Marker

The NEW Electro-Fast® ReddyRun™ Marker has been specifically designed for use with ABgene®'s Electro-Fast® gel systems. These systems offer 96-sample throughput, with additional wells for markers, in a format suitable for multi-channel loading. Electro-Fast® systems are intended for high throughput with samples that contain a small number of signals, such as PCR reactions. At least 96 samples can be run on a single gel, which has the advantages of minimising buffer use and reducing processing time. However, the Electro-Fast® format has a shorter separation distance than low throughput gels, so the bands in conventional markers can overlap. To address this issue, the new Electro-Fast® Marker has been optimised specifically for use with the Electro-Fast® gel systems (see the figure below for a comparison). The marker contains three bands of 1000, 500 and 200 bp, which can be clearly identified on 1 - 3% agarose gels.

The marker is sold in a ReddyRun™ format containing an inert red dye and precipitant, thus it can be conveniently loaded directly onto the gel for faster processing. The DNA concentration of the marker is 25ng/µl and the suggested loading volume is 3µl for the marker well.
