a Physiological Data Analyses & Database Portal
There is an increasing demand for data exchange among pharmaceutical and biotech companies. E-MOUSETM is proposed as a resource for biotech investigators who need speedy experimental physiology data analysis, and as a means of contributing to animal model physiology databases.

This initiative addresses two important biotechnology objectives:
i.) improving utility of animal models
ii.) advancing high-throughput analyses of mouse phenotypes.

We have developed a universal waveform analyzer to enable interpretation of virtually any physiological waveform, such as those encountered in studies of the cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. We will further develop the software to enable both time-domain and frequency-domain analyses of signals to provide the most comprehensive and sensitive modalities for detecting phenotypes embedded within the signals. Because many clients desire the specific sources of their data to remain proprietary, we enable investigators to upload descriptors such as strain, sex, and specifics of the model, as well as tags that promote cross-links with other databases. Investigators are provided results of the analyses, including tabulation of salient waveform features and plots. Results of analyses are archived within the client's firewall for intranet-only access, or reside on our server for query by the public. If results of a new analysis match archived data, the user can be alerted so that appropriate inferences may be made. e-MOUSETM should significantly reduce an investigator's analysis time and expense of software purchase and upgrades. Access to the growing databases is allowing investigators to modify experimental protocols and reduce the numbers of animals required.
