KX Series digital imaging cameras offer a variety of solutions for bright field and fluorescence imaging
KX Series digital imaging cameras offer a variety of solutions for bright field and fluorescence imaging, from the megapixel interline-transfer Sony CCD in the KX85 to a full line of Kodak CCDs. Acquisition of an RGB series is automated by software and is done using external and optional filtering (liquid crystal filters or filter wheels).
- The KX85 offers low cost, electronic shuttering and excellent blue response. The small pixels sample at the Nyquist limits even at lower magnifications.
- The higher resolution, larger pixel KX2E offers five times the dynamic range and twice the field of view of the KX85. The 9 micron pixels are best suited for magnifications of 20X and above.
- The KX14, which uses the same CCD as Diagnostic Instruments' SPOT, is a compromise between the KX85 and KX2.
