Del Mar Scientific

Established in 1973, Del Mar Scientific was one of the first companies to use lead acetate impregnated tape for the detection and analysis of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) in natural gas. Pursuing a dynamic program of continual product development, Del Mar Scientific refined and expanded the technology to include the analysis of the Total Sulfur content in natural gas. The H2S and Total Sulfur analysis market was then expanded to include fuel gas monitoring at Refineries for EPA requirements, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) for the beverage industry and specialty chemicals.

In 1999, Del Mar Scientific was purchased by employees and an aggressive program was initiated to expand the product offerings. Today, Del Mar Scientific manufactures sulfur analyzers for worldwide industries. The original lead acetate impregnated tape technology has been joined by chemiluminescence technology to provide the ultimate in H2S, Total Sulfur and Sulfur Speciation analysis.
