Cydem VT System: A Comparison To Traditional Clone Screening Platforms

How does automated clone screening compare with established fed-batch culture methods? Forty-six unique CHO clones were cultured in duplicate using the Cydem VT Automated Clone Screening System, then evaluated alongside the same clones grown in a traditional deep well fed-batch format and a 15 mL microbioreactor system. The comparison examines clone performance using measurements central to cell line development, including cell density, viability, and IgG concentration. With capacity for up to 96 parallel cultures, the Cydem VT system also automates individual gas control, pH management through daily base addition, and scheduled feeding events.
