CPC Biotech Bio-Expo Live June 2026: Upstream Bioprocessing
Streamlining single-use liquid handling depends on how efficiently and safely fluid pathways can be disconnected at teardown. Conventional sterile disconnection methods often add unnecessary complexity through heavy equipment, long heat-up periods, or cumbersome clamp-and-cut steps that slow line changeovers and increase the potential for spills or contamination. A more resilient sterile boundary starts with disconnection solutions that remove mechanical tools from the process entirely. Fully plastic, metal-free designs with smooth internal flow paths can also help protect sensitive cells, reduce turbulence and pressure drop, and avoid compatibility concerns in demanding bioprocessing environments. The result is faster turnaround, lower residual fluid loss, and a cleaner validation approach aligned with evolving sterile manufacturing expectations such as Annex 1.
