COMPOSITE ROTOR INCREASES CENTRIFUGE CAPACITY BY 50 PERCENT
Backed by an 8-year warranty, the new SORVALL® SUPER-LITE® SLC-250T from Kendro is the first carbon fiber rotor to be fully optimized and tested for use in a SORVALL® centrifuge. Carbon fiber construction delivers the benefits of lower weight, higher strength and corrosion resistance - but unlike other carbon fiber rotors, the SLC-250T has been designed to work as part of a system. This ensures smooth acceleration and deceleration to avoid sample mixing, and guarantees optimal temperature control to eliminate the possibility of samples freezing.
Weighing just 7.02 kg, The 6-place SLC-250T has a maximum speed of 11,500 rpm (20,238 x g) and accepts a wide range of tubes, bottles and adapters. The rotor accommodates SORVALL® DRY-SPIN leakproof 250 ml polypropylene/ polycarbonate bottles as well as Pyrex®/Corex®/Oak Ridge bottles and tissue culture tubes.
With a top speed of 21,000 rpm, the SUPER T 21 is the only benchtop centrifuge in the world to offer the g-force and performance of a floor model. It is also designed to operate as a refrigerated microcentrifuge and a high-capacity lowspeed tabletop. The combination of the SLC-250T rotor with the SUPER T 21 provides 50 percent more superspeed capacity than competitive 1 liter benchtop systems.
