Closing The Adoption Gap For Advanced Single-Use Materials
This panel discussion examined how regulatory lag, evolving biocompatibility standards, and the complexity of converting legacy systems slow the uptake of innovative single-use materials and technologies in biomanufacturing. This conversation featured BioPlan Associates’ director of research, Katrina Cordovado, as well as Joshua Nelson, Ph.D., a senior material qualification specialist at Takeda, and Paul Priebe, a consultant and single-use bioprocessing technology expert. These panelists discussed the validation challenges new technologies and materials face, highlighted the standards bodies and industry organizations working to improve harmonization, and explored what these efforts mean for manufacturers evaluating these technologies.
