SAN MATEO, Calif., February 15, 2000-NucleoTech Corporation, a provider of advanced image data analysis systems, today announces the release of its NucleoVision 920, a complete chemiluminescence imaging system designed to support applications involving chemiluminescence, fluorescence and visible light imaging. The workstation has been introduced for the documentation and analysis of blots, gels, autoradiographs and 3-D QPCR, dot blot and ELISA. The real-time detection and quantification is possible without using expensive autoradiography techniques and the CCD camera's long integration capabilities permit sensitive detection. The versatile system support images from CCD cameras, TWAIN compatible scanners and phosphor imagers. At the heart of NucleoVision 920, chemiluminescence workstation is the GelExpert Imaging software suite that provides simple, integrated features for image preprocessing, annotation, enhancement, analysis, archiving and publication tools. Analysis tools include OD analysis, molecular weight calculation, 1-D automated multi-lane densitometry, Dot/Slot blot analysis, free object quantification, 2-D spot densitometry and dynamic image capture.

NucleoTech Corporation is an innovative pioneer in the emerging field of bioimage informatics - the intelligent retrieval, analysis, data mining and archiving of biological information derived from imagebased data. Founded in 1995, the privately-held San Mateo, California-based company develops, manufactures and markets an integrated family of advanced imaging systems. These systems use NucleoTech's proprietary software technology to streamline image-data operations for the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and molecular diagnostics markets.
