Residual host cell proteins (HCPs) in biopharmaceutical drugs represent a potential risk to patient safety and product quality. HCPs may be immunogenic, biologically active, or degrade the products or its formulation. Accordingly, it is standard practice to determine the level of HCPs present in the drug substance as part of lot release testing.

We have established a liquid chromatography – tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for characterization of residual HCPs in monoclonal antibody (mAb) products. Download the paper and discover the results of this case study.
