CDC Technologies, Inc.
In meeting this goal, CDC has developed a steady progression of cost-effective Point-of-Care systems, beginning with the MASCOTTM line of automated multispecies hematology analyzers. Introduced to the market in 1992, the MASCOT line is the first (and only) line of blood cell counters developed specifically for veterinary medicine. The line is also unique in the following ways:
- its small sample size (only 20 microliters -- less than one drop -- of whole blood)
- its ability to perform precise and accurate, cell-by-cell analyses
- its ability to analyze samples from a wide variety of species
- its easy, walk-away operation, and minimal upkeep
- its exceptional value
Perhaps more significant, however, is the variety of models and price ranges to choose from. There are currently two models available in the HEMAVET Series, offering from 16 primary parameters to as many as 27 parameters of hematology results, and priced so that a system is within the reach of every veterinary practitioner. All systems are of modular design and are fully upgradeable, so that features can be added to meet the practice's changing needs.
The HEMAVET Series clearly brings unprecedented flexibility, portability, and affordability to automated multispecies hematology.
