Cardinal Associates, a biotech firm located in Santa Fe, New Mexico since 1991, develops, manufactures, and markets products to the biomedical research industry. The company's focus is on the measure of cell functionality via chemiluminescent techniques and on cell separation techniques. Cardinal's customers include researchers in medical schools, research institutes and a variety of biopharmaceutical companies around the world.

Cardinal products are used to separate blood cells by density gradient centrifugation. In addition to human blood, formulas are available for separation of neutrophils and monocytic cells for a variety of animal bloods. The separated cells are used in a variety of tests in drug discovery, chemosensitivity testing, antioxidant evaluation and in oxidative stress testing.

Cardinal also manufactures and markets assays using chemiluminescent methods for assessing oxidative stress in phagocytic cells such as neutrophils. Other assays detect cellular ATP levels for determining growth rate survival or other factors. These products are sold worldwide, either directly or through select distributors.
