The process proven Bio-Tek diaphragm valve is now available with a user friendly adjustable travel stop. An adjustable travel stop is a mechanical device, which prevents an operator from physically over closing a diaphragm valve. Over closure may result in premature failure of the diaphragm. The #18 Bio-Tek bonnet assembly is a patent pending adjustable travel stop which greatly reduces the number of steps required to set the travel stop mechanism. The travel stop adjustment process has been reduced from nine (9) steps utilizing three (3) tools; to a three (3) step process utilizing one tool, greatly reducing the time required for this operation. Travel stops cannot provide their designed function unless they are set properly. The ease of setting the newly designed adjustable travel stop now assures that the travel stop is being utilized, thus extending the life of the diaphragms. The result is less frequent diaphragm change outs, extending PM programs and reducing down time. In addition, this design also incorporates a unique antirotational device preventing the compressor from rotating during diaphragm change out.
