Becton Dickinson Acquires Reagent Developer

Becton Dickinson and Co. has acquired Transduction Laboratories, a developer of products for biomedical research, based in Lexington, KY. The acquisition is being made through Becton Dickinson's subsidiary, PharMingen (San Diego, CA), which develops, manufactures and sells reagents for life science research.

Transduction Laboratories specializes in developing reagents, primarily in the field of signal transduction, for biomedical research. The company has 40 employees and markets more than 500 individual products.
