Beckman Coulter's CyAn Flow Cytometer Combines With IntelliCyt's HyperCyt System To Set A New Standard For Processing Speed

Beckman Coulter is interfacing its CyAn flow cytometer with IntelliCyt's HyperCyt system, a configuration that offers researchers the fastest flow cytometric cell analysis available. The CyAn provides acquisition rates of up to 70,000 events per second, which, combined with the continuous, rapid sampling capabilities offered by the HyperCyt Autosampler and HyperView Data Analysis Software, enables 384-well plates to be processed in as little as 10 minutes.

The instrument package will allow high-speed processing to be used in many cell-surface and intracellular flow cytometry applications.

The companies have also reached an agreement on distribution of Intellicyt's Hypercyt System. The partnership provides Beckman Coulter with exclusive distribution rights for the HyperCyt system outside of North America and co-exclusive distribution rights for the HyperCyt system for use on its CyAn flow cytometer in North America. IntelliCyt will continue direct sales and support of the HyperCyt system in North America.
