For over 20 years BIOQUELL Medical Ltd have been one of the UK's leading manufacturers and suppliers of filtration and contamination control equipment. Part of the BIOQUELL Group, BIOQUELL Medical employs approximately 70 people in 2 sites. Manufacturing facilities are located at Weston Super Mare (Somerset) which is also the Head office. A subsidiary Sales office is based in Paris, France.

BIOQUELL Medical Ltd pioneered the use of carbon filtration to develop a range of filtration fume cupboards primarily for chemical fume control and also specializes in the use of HEPA filtration in its range of Biological Safety Cabinets and Laminar Flow equipment. One of the leaders in the laboratory market, significant expansion has recently been seen in the healthcare, education and industrial sectors.

Design and Customer Support
BIOQUELL Medical Ltd has a specialist engineering and development capability utilizing the latest CAD techniques and a resident chemist to advise customers on the suitability and application of filtration equipment for particulate and vapour removal. The facilities include a test laboratory where the design team can evaluate new products and filters. BIOQUELL Medical Ltd is therefore in a unique position to develop and manufacture custom made environmental control equipment to suit individual customers' requirements. This also enables us to respond quickly to changing market needs, such as the latest COSHH and other statutory requirements, both in home and overseas markets.

Manufacturing and Quality
One of the key features of the BIOQUELL Medical Ltd manufacturing operation is that it produces many of its own carbon and HEPA filters enabling it to have total control of the key elements in providing safe working environments. All BIOQUELL Medical Ltd equipment is designed and assembled under the control of the Quality Manager, who reports directly to the Managing Director. BIOQUELL Medical Ltd conforms to the latest quality standards for sales and manufacturing. All products are CE marked and conform to the latest EMC low voltage and medical directives. The company has accreditation for ISO9000 and EN46002 (medical devices). The manufacturing operation currently produces over 2000 units per year, which are shipped all over the world through a network of established and fully trained distributors.
