Ascent® Fixed Bed Reactor System 5

The Corning® Ascent® Fixed Bed Reactor (FBR) System 5 is a bioproduction platform designed for cell and gene therapy workflows, specifically for attachment-dependent cell processes. The system enables process development and production-scale cell culture through three single-use bioreactor sizes: 1 m2, 2.5 m2, and 5 m2. Its specially treated polymer mesh promotes uniform fluid flow and cell growth, which helps improve cell health and product yield.

The platform is a closed system with pre-assembled, irradiated consumables that requires minimal setup and can be ready in as little as 20 minutes. With features like automated monitoring of key parameters and a media conditioning vessel, the system is designed to reduce hands-on time and human error.
