Single-use manufacturers need powerful inventory management, production forecasting and control tools to be agile and responsive suppliers. The use of AI and machine learning tools can begin the process of moving from predictive, human-driven inventory management and manufacturing processes to genuine, data-driven decision making. Coupled with sophisticated IoT systems such as smart shelves and vision systems, AI can generate the data needed to automate and proactively identify deficits or roadblocks in both onsite inventories and supply chain resources.
