FieldQ Actuator

FieldQ™ is Emerson's "fully-integrated" valve automation solution, combining a quarter turn pneumatic rack and pinion actuator with an integrated module combining solenoid and switchbox, into a low profile, compact package. The control module power ranges from a simple electric supply through common bus communication protocols such as ASi and up to sophisticated bus communication systems like Foundation fieldbus that are able to be linked to wider network systems, used as part of the PlantWeb® family of field instruments. With diagnostic capabilities to monitor valve health, this inter-changeable, flexible system simplifies the automation of rotary valves via the use of ‘smart' push-button setting of the limit stops, minimizing the labor time required for installation and maintenance and by reducing administrative costs via single source supplier, thus cutting total installation costs. FieldQ can be used in a host of hazardous process applications where a robust, reliable and compact solution is required.
