The Millipede Horizontal Sample Loader provides a method for screening a high number of samples on a single agarose gel. This system can simultaneously run up to 500 samples on one gel, while producing tight-banding patterns with no "smiling". It is 23 cm wide by 25 cm long with a UV transmissible gel tray, which does not require taping of the casting tray. Using microtiter format combs, samples may be loaded directly from a 96-well plate.
