The collet diameters range from 5 mm down to as small as .1 mm. The grip/collet design does not allow imposed loading while clamping. In addition, MTS Systems Corporation simplifies specimen setup and secondary system adjustment in order to compensate for residual loads that are often found in traditional wedge style grips.
