Therapure Biopharma Inc. Signs Fill/Finish Contract With OPK Biotech LLC

Therapure Biopharma Inc.(Therapure) recently announced the signing of an agreement under which it will provide fill/finish services for OPK Biotech LLC (OPK), a biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Under the terms of the agreement, Therapure will provide fill/finish services to support development for one of OPK’s therapeutic products, which is used to increase oxygen transport. The companies are also negotiating a contract for on-going GMP manufacturing services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

OPK is a Massachusetts based company that develops and brings to market innovative drugs in the class of oxygen therapeutics. Using proprietary technology, two products have been developed and manufactured: Hemopure® (HBOC-201) [hemoglobin glutamer - 250 (bovine)] for human use and Oxyglobin® (HBOC-301) [hemoglobin glutamer - 200 (bovine)] for veterinary use.
