Technical Light Source

NovaLight is a powerful and versatile technical light source. Its proprietary optical design provides up to 500–700% more light than standard "condenser/reflector" style lamp housings using the same wattage lamp. Unlike elliptical reflector based designs, this light source utilizes a uniform, homogenous, collimated beam.

Standard features include:

• Built in changeable dichroic "Cold Mirror" to remove the IR portion of the spectrum. 550 nm cutoff is standard; other cutoff wavelengths available
  
• Focal Plane Iris for intensity control and fast alignment and focusing when installing new lamps
  
• Horizontal Operation standard; Vertical Operation optional
  
• High Numerical Aperture (.38 NA), Solid Aluminum Ellipsoidal Reflector

As with all PTI lamp housings, the light source uses:

• The LPS-221B Integrated Igniter for safe, noise-free ignition
  
• The LPS-220B Power Supply (or LPS-250B for >100 watt lamps) for ultra-high stability and low ripple
  
• Hg and Xe arc lamps from 75 through 200 watts
  
• Tungsten Halogen lamps from 50 though 100 watts
