Technical Note: BioSC™ Sequential Multi Column Chromatography

SMCC uses the same type of stationary phase and the same separation techniques as used in any given batch process. Three of the four columns are available for loading in linear sequence while the fourth column is eluted, regenerated and equilibrated. This happens asynchronously out of sequence with the continuing loading phase until it is ready to return to the linear sequence in its proper turn.
