QUIETER SUPERSPEED CENTRIFUGES FROM KENDRO ARE USER AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
50 percent quieter and 20 percent more heat efficient than previous models, the RC-5C Plus and RC-5B Plus feature an improved refrigeration system which is fully warranted for five years. The refrigeration system uses an HFC-based coolant which has minimal impact on ozone depletion and global warming.
The RC-5C Plus combines the flexibility of microprocessor control and digital displays with the reliability, durability and convenience of a heavy-duty, direct drive motor system. Easy-to-use levers set time, temperature, rotor code and speed, and the LED displays allow at-a-glance monitoring of run parameters. Rotor speeds from 50 rpm to 21,000 rpm are controlled to within 1 percent of pre-set conditions, and operating temperatures between +2°C and 40°C are maintained to within 1°C of set conditions for all specified speeds.
Automatic RCF (Relative Centrifugal Force) allows the calculation and display of g force for any rotor and speed combination, while a built-in w2dt integrator ensures run-to-run reproducibility. Improved separations can be achieved using the Automatic Rate Control System, which helps to preserve density gradient resolution and minimizes soft pellet re-suspension.
The economical RC-5B Plus couples simplicity of use with proven, practical performance. Analog displays and lamp indicators are clearly visible and easy to understand, while a heavy-duty, direct-drive motor ensures trouble-free operation. The instrument maintains rotor speeds from 500 rpm to 21,000 rpm to within 1 percent of set conditions, and offers precise temperature control from +2°C to 37°C with user-defined overtemperature protection for all specified speeds.
Both models can use all SORVALL® Superspeed rotors, including the SuperLite® series and high performance SUPRAspeedâ rotors. A wide selection of tubes, bottles and adapters enhances the versatility of most rotors, while innovations such as DRY-SPINä bottles ensure sample preservation and integrity.
