Application Example: Yeast Strain Profiling

Our objective was to acquire new information of the effects of certain transcription factors on Saccharomyces cerevisiae growth rates, levels of biomass, extracellular ethanol, glycerol and acetate under anaerobic growth conditions. The study was conducted by using transcription factor deletion strains and comparing the measurement results with corresponding results obtained from a wild type yeast strain.
