The Aero Vac is a fully computerized mass spectrometer that is used for monitoring and controlling industrial processes and research projects. It is also used for the analysis of residual gases in vacuum systems, outgasses studies, chemisorption studies, chemisorption research, and leak testing. The computer system for this system allows process parameters such as temperature to be acquired along with the spectral data, and incorporated in a total process control program.
The software for this system has an analog scan mode, a histogram mode, a time-base mode, and a table mode. In addition, this software has peak tune that allows adjustment to maintain the mass scale in precise tune. Also included is an on-line spectral library, scan storage, recall, and overlay with live scan, a spectral analysis program, and an extensive help program.
