SAN MATED, Calif., June 15, 1999-NucleoTech Corporation, a provider of advanced image data analysis systems, today announces the release of its new GelExpert 3.5 scientific imaging software package. Three new analysis modules: Protein Gel Analysis, Genotyping and BioAssay, have been added to increase the software functionalities. GelExpert represents a new standard in image capture, processing and analysis software and is now available for the Windows 95, 98 and NT platforms. Utilizing its native 32-bit technology, GelExpert enables full utilization of current state-of-the-art computing systems for the high speed graphical displays and multi-tasking, as well as rapid and accurate quantitative analysis. Its performance for fast and accurate image acquisition, visualization in real time, more than 70 different image processing tools, annotation capabilities, automated quantitative analysis tools under an easy-to-use interface is unmatched in the industry. The software has extensive file format compatibility. Gray scale and color images can be acquired from virtually any video camera, from Twain compatible scanners and from a variety of high sensitivity cooled CCD cameras. Advanced features include an image library for archiving and easy retrieval of images, multiple plug-in analysis modules for 1D, 2D, QPCR, free object quantitation, microbial colony counting, and densitometric analysis.
