HPLC Columns

Source: Hamilton Company

Hamilton Company has been developing and manufacturing pressure-stable polymeric high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns for nearly 35 years. Hamilton was one of the first companies to understand the unique qualities of polymerbased columns and how the technology could advance the field of HPLC. Following significant research and advancements by its team of engineers and scientists, Hamilton’s first line of pressure-stable polymeric HPLC columns was created, making it a pioneer in the development and manufacturing of polystyrene-divinylbenzene (PS-DVB) polymers for HPLC applications. We are an established name in science whose products are found in most of the world’s top chromatography labs. From columns to syringes to septa and more, Hamilton Company offers a full line of off-the-shelf and custom chromatography products for HPLC, gas chromatography (GC) and thin layer chromatography (TLC).

Anion Exchange HPLC Columns
Hamilton polymeric, Poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) anion exchange HPLC Columns are used in quality assurance as well as research and development laboratories because they last significantly longer than silica-based anion exchange columns. The six anion exchange column packings listed below can be used to separate inorganic and organic anions, large molecular weight proteins, DNA and carbohydrates.

HPLC Ion Exclusion Column
Ion exclusion chromatography is an alternative to ion exchange  chromatography in which ionized samples are excluded from the pores of the support and elute first, while the weakly ionized and nonionic compounds elute later. Mixtures of weak acids, like those in fruits and milk products, are frequently not very well separated by pure ion-exchange methods, nor in the reversed-phase mode.

Cation Exchange HPLC Columns
Hamilton polymeric, Poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) cation exchange HPLC Columns are used in quality assurance as well as research and development laboratories because they last significantly longer than silica-based cation exchange columns. The five cation exchange column packings listed below can be used for the following separations: inorganic and organic cations; the herbicide glyphosate from it's metabolite; mono and divalent cations in one run; oligosaccharides up to DP8; USP L17, 19 and 34 applications.

HPLC Bulk Resins
All Hamilton HPLC packings are available as bulk resin or packed into analytical, semi-preparative and preparative columns. Chromatographic capacity and efficiency tests are conducted on both bulk and packed column resins to ensure product integrity. Samples from different lots can be purchased for method/process validation. For ease of ordering specify the quantity of resin needed in grams. Quantities from one gram to tens of Kilo's are available.

PRP-C18 Reversed-Phase HPLC Columns
The Hamilton PRP™-C18 is a new HPLC column designed to provide high-efficiency, reversed-phase separations over an extended column life in nearly any mobile phase or pH. The rigid stationary phase has excellent mechanical and thermal stability, does not experience shrinking or swelling, and is completely inert to most conditions commonly encountered in reversed-phase chromatography.

Reversed Phase HPLC Columns
PRP Polymeric Reversed Phase Poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) HPLC Columns are used in quality assurance as well as research and development laboratories because they last significantly longer than silica-based reversed phase columns. This is particularly true for difficult analyses like: high pH samples (pH 8-13); labile or reactive samples (irreversible adsorption); high aqueous purifications (80-100% water); and separations with ion pairing reagents. HxSil silica-based columns are ideal for applications where a higher efficiency reversed phase C8 or C18 column is needed.
