The GeneRuler Biotinylated DNA Ladder provides a convenient prelabeled molecular weight marker ideal for use on Southern blots. Sufficient material is supplied to produce 20-50 marker lanes. The digest contains a mixture of labeled and unlabeled DNA, allowing visualization either through fluorescent (i.e. ethidium bromide or CyberGreen) staining or enzymatic detection as desired. Labeled and unlabeled DNA fragments migrate uniformly. The marker yields 21 discrete plasmid DNA fragments from 100 bp to 10kb. The bright bands at 3000 bp, 1031 bp and 500 bp serve as references.
