Application Note: Determination Of LC-MS Extractables In 1cc SPE Columns
By Chetna Mittal and Asha Oroskar, Orochem Technologies Inc.
Solid-phase extraction (SPE) is an extraction method that uses a solid phase (Silica based sorbent packed in polypropylene columns) and a liquid phase (mostly organic) to isolate various type of analyte (s) from a solution. It is usually used to clean up a sample before using a chromatographic or other analytical method to quantitate the amount of analyte(s) in the sample.
