HEFP Assays and Reagents Bring More Power to HTS
Molecular Devices offers five reagent products that broaden the applications of our High Efficiency Fluorescence Polarization (HEFP) technology. Each assay is sensitive, robust, homogenous, and rapid. No separation or wash steps are required. All reagents are available in bulk for convenient scale-up.

Criterion System Reagents DPX Dopamine D2 Receptor Binding Assay
The DPX assay, for dopamine receptor screening, can contribute to investigation of the pathogenesis of neurological disorders. This assay is a competitive binding reaction: active D2 compounds compete with the tracer for the limited number of binding sites, so that polarization is inversely proportional to the degree of compound binding. The LJL ADEPT team, which offers consulting services, will help you evaluate the appropriateness of using HEFP with the human dopamine D2 receptors, and can then provide the receptor, fluorescent-labeled tracer, calibrator, and HEFP assay buffer.

Cyclic AMP Assay Kit
This assay detects cAMP, a cell-signaling molecule, in pmol amounts. It is optimized for measurement of adenylyl cyclase activity and for monitoring phospodiesterase activity in either in vitro enzyme preparations or partially purified cell extracts. Each kit contains reagents for two 384-well plates with 40 µL sample volumes, including anti-cAMP antibody, fluorescein-labeled tracer, cAMP calibrator, HEFP Assay Buffer, and LyX Lysis Buffer. The assay can be scaled down to 8 µL sample volumes with the same performance.
