The ACIS automated cellular imaging system identifies cells of interest by detecting characteristic colors produced by routine immunohisto/cytochemcial staining protocols. Up to 150 morphometric parameters are also used to evaluate targeted cells. Its features include:
- Sensitive and accurate - the system can detect one abnormal cell in the midst of millions of normal cells
- Designed for fully automated walk away operation (up to 100 slides)
- Reproducible and quantitative – designed to assist the pathologist in generating quantitative, reproducible results, the system eliminates the subjectivity associated with current IHC or cytochemistry procedures
- Permanent visual storage – high-resolution digital images of the targeted cells serve as a permanent record of test results, either as a patient report or archived storage
